Why Your US Client Needs a Domestic Invoice
Large US companies have tight accounts-payable rules. Paying a foreign freelancer often means slower processing, extra documentation, and questions that stall payment. When you send an invoice from your own name and a Ghanaian address, the client's finance team may classify it as a cross-border payment, triggering delays. Many freelancers lose time chasing payments that could have been routine.
By contrast, an invoice from a US-registered company clears their internal checks quickly. That's what Panorama Systems provides—a US entity on your invoice, so the client sees a familiar vendor and pays through their standard domestic process. You'll send the same project and rate details you would normally. The difference is the payer identity. Your client's purchase order and payment records will show Panorama Systems Florida LLC, a company with a US address and US bank details.
How the Merchant-of-Record Arrangement Works
When you finish a milestone or project, you notify Panorama Systems with the client's details, the completed work, and the amount. Panorama Systems generates an invoice on behalf of the company and sends it to your client. The client makes a payment to Panorama Systems' US bank account. That step is entirely domestic for them—no international wire, no currency conversion on their side. After the payment clears, Panorama Systems deducts the service fee and initiates your payout.
You remain independent. There's no employment relationship, and you're free to negotiate your own rates and terms directly with the client. You retain full control over the client relationship. Panorama Systems doesn't step between you and the client's project manager. Communication stays yours. The only change is on the payment side.
Receiving Your Payout in USDT
Freelancers in Ghana receive payouts in USDT. You can choose the network that fits your wallet: TRC-20, ERC-20, BEP-20, TON, or Solana. Provide your wallet address when you register, and each payout will be sent there. Bank transfers—including Wise, SWIFT, SEPA, and local Ghanaian bank transfers—are not available through Panorama Systems. If you prefer to receive funds in GHS, you will need to convert USDT on your own after receiving the payout. The exact timing of the transfer depends on network confirmation, not on a banking schedule.
Because it's USDT, you avoid the delays and fees that often come with international wires to Ghana. Once the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain, the funds are in your wallet. You can hold them as USDT, convert to GHS through a local exchange, or use them directly with merchants that accept crypto. The choice is yours.
Your Tax Obligations as a Freelancer in Accra
Panorama Systems does not withhold any taxes on your behalf. As a freelancer in Ghana, you are responsible for reporting your income and paying the appropriate taxes in your country of residence. The service is not an employer, and the payments are not wages. They are business income from the services you provided. Keep records of your invoices and payouts. You may need them for your annual tax filing.
If you have questions about what you owe, speak with a local accountant who understands freelance income. Panorama Systems cannot give tax advice. The arrangement is similar to working with any international client directly, except that the payment passes through a US company. You receive the gross client payment minus the service fee, and no taxes are taken out before the payout. Plan for your tax obligations accordingly.
