From Sign-Up to Settlement
Signing up takes a few minutes. You provide basic details and verify your identity. For each client, you submit the client’s name, a brief project description, and invoicing terms. Panorama then generates an invoice from its Florida entity and sends it to your US client.
The client sees a standard US invoice from a company in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. Payment terms, wire details, and an IRS W-9 if needed all look domestic. The client’s AP team processes it without foreign-payment hurdles. The invoice shows your name as the provider, while Panorama is the billing agent; the client relationship remains yours.
When the client pays — by check, ACH, or wire — funds land in Panorama’s US account. After clearing, the service fee is deducted and your payout is sent via the method you selected: CAD to your Canadian bank account, USD to Wise or via SWIFT, or USDT.
What Your US Client Sees
For US clients, the main obstacle to paying a foreign freelancer is often accounts-payable friction: withholding concerns, foreign wire fees, missing forms. Panorama solves this by issuing invoices from a US LLC with a US tax ID, so the client processes it as a domestic bill. The invoice includes your name, a service description, and Panorama’s US bank details.
If a W-9 is needed, Panorama provides it. Everything stays domestic on the client’s side, while you avoid US tax filing obligations entirely.
Setting Up Your Account
Getting started is straightforward. After creating an account, you upload identity documents and, if applicable, your Canadian business registration. Panorama verifies you as a non-US freelancer; this is a compliance check, not a skill assessment.
Once approved, you can add client engagements instantly. Provide a brief project description for each, and invoicing begins. There is no long-term commitment — you use the service per invoice or per client, and you can stop anytime.
Payouts to Waterloo
You choose how to receive funds: CAD to a Canadian bank account, USD via Wise or SWIFT, or USDT. CAD transfers typically arrive as low-cost domestic electronic funds transfers. USDT payouts on supported networks offer an alternative that bypasses traditional banking rails.
The service fee is deducted upfront. Panorama does not handle Canadian taxes — you report the income yourself, pay applicable income tax, and remit HST if registered. Because you are not an employee, there are no source deductions.
