The Invoicing Obstacle for Islamabad Freelancers
US companies often hesitate to process invoices from an individual with a foreign address and no US tax ID. Their standard workflows expect a domestic vendor. When you send an invoice from your own name and a Pakistani bank account, it can trigger extra scrutiny or delays from an accounts payable department that is not set up for cross-border payments.
This friction has nothing to do with your skill. It is a procedural issue. Finance teams want predictable paperwork: a W-9 form, a US address, and a payment method they recognize. Without these, your invoice might sit in a queue while they figure out how to pay you.
How the US Merchant-of-Record Model Works
When you use PANORAMA SYSTEMS, your client receives an invoice from a Florida-based LLC with a US address and tax ID. To their accounts payable team, it looks like any other domestic supplier. They pay the invoice by ACH, wire, or check to a US bank—nothing international.
Behind the scenes, you have an agreement with PANORAMA SYSTEMS. The company collects the payment from your client, deducts a service fee, and then pays you. Your client is not a party to this arrangement. You remain an independent freelancer, not an employee.
This structure means you do not need to incorporate in the US or open a US bank account yourself. The entire client-facing side stays within the US.
Payment Settlement: USDT Only
For freelancers in Pakistan, payout options are limited to USDT transfers on the blockchain. Supported networks include TRC-20, ERC-20, BEP-20, TON, and Solana. There are no bank rail options—no Wise, SWIFT, SEPA, or local bank transfers—available for this location. You must have a compatible wallet and be comfortable receiving stablecoins.
When the client's payment settles, PANORAMA SYSTEMS initiates your USDT payout. The exact timing depends on the client’s payment method and network conditions, so we cannot quote a specific arrival time. You are responsible for any conversion from USDT to PKR and for complying with local regulations around cryptocurrency.
Taxes and Your Independent Status
PANORAMA SYSTEMS does not withhold taxes on your behalf, does not issue you a tax form, and does not provide tax advice. You are an independent contractor, not an employee. It is your responsibility to report and pay any taxes due in Pakistan according to local law.
Because the invoice originates from a US entity, some freelancers wonder about US tax obligations. Generally, non-US persons performing work entirely outside the US do not owe US federal income tax. However, you should consult a local tax professional who understands cross-border rules.
Keep clear records of your payments and fees, as you may need them for your own tax filings. PANORAMA SYSTEMS provides you with a record of the transaction, but it is not a tax document.
