Why Bother With a US Middleman?
The straightforward answer: some US accounts-payable departments refuse to onboard foreign contractors. They want a domestic W-9, a US address, and no cross-border wire friction. Routing the invoice through a US company removes that objection. The client pays a familiar domestic entity and files a 1099 if needed.
The trade-off is a service fee and the fact that you are not an employee of PANORAMA SYSTEMS. No benefits, no tax withholding on your behalf—just invoice handling. For people who have lost contracts over payment logistics, that trade-off sometimes makes sense.
If your client already pays you directly without issue, this service probably adds little. That is not a sales pitch. It is how the tool fits.
What the Service Actually Does
You continue to negotiate your own rates, scope, and deadlines. When it is time to bill, the client receives an invoice from PANORAMA SYSTEMS FLORIDA LLC, complete with a US EIN and a Florida address. Their AP team processes it like any other US vendor payment.
Once the client pays, PANORAMA SYSTEMS deducts a fee and forwards the balance to you. The fee covers the invoicing, payment collection, and the transfer to you. That is the whole scope. There is no project management, contract review, or insurance bundled in.
What It Does Not Solve
Tax compliance remains your own responsibility. PANORAMA SYSTEMS does not determine whether you owe VAT, income tax, or social contributions in Sri Lanka. It will not produce a tax-compliant invoice for your local authorities. You are not an employee; no labour law protections apply.
Most critically for Kandy-based freelancers: payouts to Sri Lanka settle exclusively in USDT. TRC-20, ERC-20, BEP-20, TON, and Solana are supported. Bank rails—Wise, SWIFT, SEPA, local Sri Lankan transfers—are not available. If you need fiat landing in a bank account, this setup will frustrate you. The limitation is firm, and it is better to be blunt about it now than after a client payment is already in flight.
How a Payment Moves, Step by Step
You send an invoice request through the platform with the client’s details and the amount. An email goes to the client from a US-registered entity. The client sees a domestic payment—no currency conversion on their side, no SWIFT codes.
When the client remits payment, funds land in a US account. After clearance, PANORAMA SYSTEMS deducts its service fee and initiates a USDT transfer to the wallet address you provide. The network and token standard (TRC-20, ERC-20, etc.) is your choice among the supported options.
The fee is a percentage of the invoiced amount. There is no monthly subscription. You do not pay when a client delays or disputes an invoice; the fee is taken only from successfully collected payments. That means the service earns when you earn—an incentive alignment that matters if you have been burned by SaaS billing models before.
