The Three Common Ways—and Where They Pinch
One route is an old-fashioned international wire. The SWIFT network can carry fees from intermediary banks, and both your client’s bank and yours may take a slice. Exchange rates often include a margin that is hard to audit. Some US accounts-payable teams simply refuse to send wires overseas.
Another route is a payment platform like PayPal or Payoneer. The client stays domestic, but you typically absorb a currency conversion markup and a receiving fee. Over time, those percentages cut hard into a Kolkata freelancer’s margin. The account may also hold your funds until you move them.
A third route is asking the client to figure out an alternate solution themselves—perhaps a US-based friend who can receive and forward money. It works until it doesn’t. Compliance questions arise, reporting gets messy, and the arrangement rarely survives a larger contract.
The Fourth Route: A US Invoice Without a US Entity
Panorama Systems Florida is a US limited liability company. When you work with a client through us, we become the merchant of record for that transaction. The client receives an invoice from a Florida entity, with a US address and a domestic payment path. For their accounts-payable process, it feels exactly like paying a local vendor. No wire instructions to decipher, no foreign-entity paperwork to explain.
After the client pays, we release the funds to you through the method you selected—INR local transfer, Wise, SWIFT, or USDT. A service fee is deducted at that stage. You are not an employee of Panorama Systems and you do not need any US bank account, company registration, or tax ID. The arrangement is per-invoice, so you can use it for one project or for many.
Settlement in INR or Crypto—The Choice Is Yours
Kolkata-based vendors often prefer payout in Indian rupees to avoid dealing with exchange rates themselves. Local INR transfers clear through India’s banking network, arriving in the account you provide. If you hold a Wise balance or a foreign-currency account, we can settle over those rails instead.
We also support SWIFT transfers and USDT payouts. Some freelancers value the speed and low cost of stablecoins, while others prefer the familiarity of bank rails. Each invoice can settle differently; you are not locked into one method. We show you the exchange rate and any third-party charges before you confirm, so there are no surprises after the fact.
Taxes Are Your Domain—We Stay Out of It
The service does not make Panorama Systems your employer. We do not withhold taxes, file returns on your behalf, or tell you what to declare in India. Your client pays a US company, and you receive a business payment in your own country. How you report that income to Indian authorities is entirely between you and your tax professional.
This is a trade-off worth stating plainly. You get a frictionless billing experience and access to US clients, but you give up any payroll-linked benefits and remain sovereign over your own compliance. For many experienced freelancers in Kolkata, that is exactly the balance they are looking for.
