Hire a mobile engineer

Ships the app and everything around it: builds, signing, store review, crash reports, the second release.

Our rate
$60 $85
per hour
US agency rate
$70-130
per hour, same work
Full month
$9,600 – $13,600
160 hours

Rates last reviewed 2026-08-15. A single role can sit below our blended engagement floor of $55 per hour, because the floor applies to a whole project team rather than to one person.

What this role does here

  • iOS and Android, native or cross-platform, decided by your case rather than by fashion
  • Store submission, review responses and phased rollout
  • Offline behaviour, permissions and push, which is where mobile projects actually run late
  • Crash reporting and the first fix after launch

When you need one

You need an app rather than a website in a shell, or your existing app has stopped building on somebody laptop and nobody remembers the certificates.

First two weeks

A signed build on your device, the release pipeline in your account rather than ours, and an honest list of what the app store will object to.

How the engagement works

The same terms as any other project with us. Nothing on this page is a different contract.

One supplier

The contract is with our American company, whoever does the work and wherever they sit.

Named people

You meet the person before the engagement starts, and they stay on it.

Monthly, not annual

Time and materials with a ceiling you set, or a fixed price for defined scope.

Everything is yours

Code, design files and accounts transfer to you. 30 days of defect fixes after handover.

Questions about this role

Native or cross-platform?

+

Cross-platform for most business apps, native when the product lives on the camera, on background location or on platform APIs that change every year. We give the reason, not the preference.

Who owns the store accounts?

+

You do, from the first day. We publish from your developer account, not from ours, because an app in somebody else account is not your app.
