Hire a frontend engineer
Builds the part of the product people touch: interfaces, state, forms, performance in the browser.
Rates last reviewed 2026-08-15. A single role can sit below our blended engagement floor of $55 per hour, because the floor applies to a whole project team rather than to one person.
What this role does here
- Interfaces in React and Next.js, from a design file or from nothing
- State, data fetching and the error cases nobody drew
- Accessibility and keyboard behaviour that survives a real audit
- Page speed treated as a budget, not as a report at the end
When you need one
You have a backend or an API and the screen in front of it is either missing, slow or written by three people who never spoke. A frontend engineer alone is enough when the data already exists.
A running branch you can open, the two or three screens that carry the most traffic, and a written note on what in the current code will cost you later.
How the engagement works
The same terms as any other project with us. Nothing on this page is a different contract.
The contract is with our American company, whoever does the work and wherever they sit.
You meet the person before the engagement starts, and they stay on it.
Time and materials with a ceiling you set, or a fixed price for defined scope.
Code, design files and accounts transfer to you. 30 days of defect fixes after handover.
Where this role usually works
All servicesWeb platforms, internal systems and mobile apps built to run in production for years, not to demo well once. We take the product from a written scope to a deployed system with monitoring, backups and a team that can hand it over.
Marketing sites, customer portals and subscription products, from the design system to the billing. Built so your own team can edit the content and read the numbers without opening a ticket with us.
Questions about this role
Can a frontend engineer work with our existing designers?
+
Yes, and it is the common case. We work from your design files and raise the places where the file and the browser disagree, rather than quietly inventing a third version.
What if we do not have designs at all?
+
Then a product designer joins for the first weeks and steps out once the system is set. Both rates are published, so you can see what that costs before deciding.
